Quick, Patch It is distributed as-is. The author disclaims all warranties,
expressed or implied. The author will assume no liability for damages
either from the direct use of this product or as a consequence of the use
of this product.
Quick, Patch It is a patch file creator that allows building of
EXE files and many other options.

QUICK START
Installing Quick, Patch It is a very simple, simply copy or extract from the
compressed file, all the .EXE, .DOC, .FRM files into a directory that is
defined in your DOS PATH. Optionally you may create a new directory to
hold the Quick, Patch It files. If you choose this option you must either add
the new directory name to your DOS PATH, or ALWAYS start Quick, Patch It from
the new directory.
To create a patch file simply enter "QMAKEP [New File Directory] [Old File
Directory] [options]". You may use any of the following options: -A, -E,
-F[File Spec], and/or -P[Patch Name]
[New File Directory] - Directory containing your current files
[Old File Directory] - Directory containing you old files
-A - Append Data to existing patch file
-E - Make EXE for file for patches
-F[File Spec] - Wildcard search for files to search for (Default *.*)
-P[Patch Name] - File name of your patch file (Default QPATCH.DTA)
-D[File Name] - File name of your file to delete
To use a patch file simply enter "QPATCH [options]". You may use any of the
following options: -L, -D[Directory] -F[File Spec], and/or -P[Patch Name]
-L - List files in patch file
-D[Directory] - Directory to extract patch files to (Default current
directory)
-F[File Spec] - Wildcard search for files to search for (Default *.*)
-P[Patch Name] - File name of your patch file (Default QPATCH.DTA)

COMMAND LINE OPTIONS
-A
Use this option to append patch file information to an existing patch
file. This would normally be used if you only wanted certain file specs
like all *.EXE & all *.DOC. This option will work with -E option.
-E
Use this option to create an EXE file. If you specify a patch name QMAKEP
will not change it to an EXE unless you specify an EXE extension. If you
do not specify a patch name QMAKEP will create one called PATCH.EXE.
-D[Directory] (QPATCH)
Use this option to force QPATCH to patch files in the [Directory]
Directory. The default is the current directory.
-D[File Name] (QMAKEP)
Use this option to delete files with your update. If the file doesn't
exist a Skipped message is displayed.
-P[Patch Name]
Use this option to force QMAKEP to create a patch file called
[Patch Name] or force QPATCH to use [Patch Name]. The default is
QPATCH.DTA.

QMAKEP EXAMPLES
QMAKEP C:\NEW C:\OLD
Create a patch file for all files in new that have been added or
modified in the new directory. Patch file will be saved as
QPATCH.DTA in the current directory.
QMAKEP C:\NEW C:\OLD -PA:\PATCH.DTA
Create a patch file for all files in new that have been added or
modified in the new directory. Patch file will be saved as PATCH.DTA
in the root directory of a drive.
QMAKEP C:\NEW C:\OLD -F*.EXE
Create a patch file for all files with the extension of EXE that have
been added or modified in the new directory. Patch file will be saved
as QPATCH.DTA in the current directory.
QMAKEP C:\NEW C:\OLD -E -F*.EXE
Create a patch file for all files with the extension of EXE that have
been added or modified in the new directory. Patch file will be saved
as PATCH.EXE in the current directory.
QMAKEP C:\NEW C:\OLD -E -F*.EXE -A
Add to a patch file for all files with the extension of EXE that have
been added or modified in the new directory. Patch file will be added
to PATCH.EXE in the current directory.

QPATCH EXAMPLES
QPATCH -L
List all file in QPATCH.DTA in the current directory. If you build an
exe then it will be for the EXE file.
QPATCH -PC:\PATCH.ME
Patch files in the current directory from the patch file C:\PATCH.ME.
QPATCH -F*.EXE
Patch files in the current directory from the file QPATCH.DTA with the
file extension of .EXE.
QPATCH -DC:\PATCHES
Patch files in the C:\PATCHES directory from the patch file QPATCH.DTA.
QPATCH -L -F*.EXE
List all files with the extension .EXE in QPATCH.DTA in the current
directory. If you build an exe then it will be for the EXE file.
